Project Overview
FM House is a beach residence designed around the way a family actually lives on holiday — generously, openly and in constant connection with the outdoors.
The principal living space is organised beneath a double-height ceiling, its scale softened by sheer curtains, warm timber and an oversized sculptural pendant that anchors the room. Kitchen, dining and living flow into one another without boundaries, opening on all sides to the garden and the coastal landscape beyond.
Each bedroom has its own character. The primary suite is serene and light-filled, its vaulted timber ceiling and private balcony creating a sense of retreat within the house. A second bedroom pairs a warm timber headboard with a mosaic tile floor and direct garden views. The children's room is perhaps the most considered space of all — a custom four-bed bunk configuration in warm timber, designed with the same care and craft as every other room in the house.
Throughout, the material palette is coastal without being literal — cream, natural timber, woven textures, blue accents that echo the ocean without announcing it.
