Project Overview

TW House sits on the Pacific coast of Nicaragua, in Aposentillo — a stretch of beach defined by open skies, palm groves and the particular quality of light that arrives at the end of the day.

The house is organised around a generous covered terrace that extends the full width of the ground level. Sheltered beneath the upper volume, this space becomes the social centre of the house — open to the garden, the pool and the landscape beyond, yet protected from the coastal sun. Stone floors, timber ceilings and carefully chosen furniture give it the ease of a room without the enclosure of one.

Inside, the open plan living and dining spaces continue the material language of the terrace — warm timber, natural stone, art and objects that feel gathered rather than decorated. The interiors open fully to the outside, with the boundary between the two dissolving completely as the day moves toward evening.

At sunset, the terrace frames the palm grove and the Pacific horizon in a single uninterrupted view. The house was made for this moment.
